About RRSS

Residential, Retail and Supply Chain Services (RRSS) is a broad and complex campus department consisting of five key units: Housing, Dining and Hospitality (HDH), Integrated Procure-to-Pay Solutions (IPPS), the UC San Diego Bookstore, Triton Print & Digital Media, and the Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC). RRSS aims to deliver innovative services to activate the campus and meet the diverse needs of the UC San Diego community.

RRSS has around 2,600 total staff members, with more than 1,200 career staff and 1,400 student workers. It is primarily a self-funded auxiliary. The organization was created to achieve the UC San Diego vision of being a destination and service-oriented campus.

Housing, Dining and Hospitality (HDH) provides housing for nearly 17,000 undergraduates and nearly 5,900 graduate students, faculty, staff and their families in more than 400 buildings and approximately 10 million square feet. It is currently the second largest, on-campus housing provider in the country.

In academic year 2023-24, residential dining and market locations had more than 5.5 million transactions, serving approximately 15,000 meals daily.

Integrated Procure-to-Pay Solutions (IPPS) is a supply chain industry leader that aims to offer innovative services and solutions in support of UC San Diego's procurement, sourcing, travel, payables and fulfillment needs. IPPS aligns administrative and service divisions into a business operation that is comprised of Strategic Procurement, Accounts Payable & Payment Services, Mail Services, Logistics, Travel & Expense and Campus Partnerships.

The UC San Diego Bookstore seeks to offer the highest-quality, cost-effective academic resources for student success while supporting the university's educational and public service mission. The store is also committed to providing the entire university community with an impressive assortment of spirit apparel, technology products and modern, comprehensive services while acting as an expert resource for collaborative initiatives.

Triton Print & Digital Media is the designated campus department providing a range of services including printing, multifunction office equipment, printer repair, digital media services and advertising. With two convenient on-campus locations equipped with the latest technology, Triton Print & Digital Media provides services to students, faculty, staff and campus partners.

The Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) provides sought-after, high-quality care, and education for the children of the UC San Diego community.
